Systems Thinking
Phase 1 Diagnostics — causal loops, archetypes, leverage points
💡
Key Insight
Every strategic problem is embedded in a system. The Systems Thinking module helps you move beyond listing problems to understanding the causal structures that generate them — so your interventions address root causes, not just symptoms.

  7. Click "Apply Template to CLD" (Wand2 icon) to load, or "Leverage" (Target icon) to load and jump to Leverage Points
Meadows Leverage Points
Donella Meadows' framework for high-impact interventions
Key Concept: Not all interventions are equal. Changing a parameter (a number) has little leverage. Changing information flows has more. Changing system goals or paradigms can transform everything.

Using the Leverage Points Panel

  1. Switch to the Leverage Points sub-tab within CLD View (next to "CLD Diagram")
  2. Review the Meadows scale legend at the top — color-coded by leverage tier
  3. Review interventions grouped by source:
    • Archetype Interventions — generated from your selected systems archetype
    • CLD-Derived Points — algorithmically detected from your diagram's feedback loops
  4. Each leverage card shows: Meadows Level (L1–L12), intervention description, expected impact (high/medium/low), and time horizon (short/medium/long)
  5. Click any leverage card to highlight target nodes in violet on the CLD canvas — the card shows "✓ highlighted" when active

General Usage
Can I use Strat Planner Pro on my mobile device?
Yes. The app is fully responsive and installable as a PWA on Android and iOS. For best results when editing complex Causal Loop Diagrams, use landscape mode on tablets. Changes sync automatically when you reconnect.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (12-round cost factor). JWT tokens expire after 7 days with rotating refresh tokens. Your OpenAI API key is stored locally in your browser — it is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
What happens if I lose internet connection?
The app operates in offline mode via a Service Worker and IndexedDB local storage. An "⚠ You're offline" banner appears at the bottom. All changes are saved locally. When you reconnect, background sync automatically pushes changes with last-write-wins conflict resolution — or prompts manual conflict resolution if needed.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Go to Plan Settings → Export Data to download your complete plan in JSON format. For human-readable documents, use the Plan Generator to produce PDF, DOCX, or XLSX exports. Organization admins can export all organizational data from the Admin Dashboard.
Collaboration
How many people can collaborate on one plan?
There is no hard technical limit. For optimal WebSocket performance, we recommend a maximum of 20 simultaneous editors per plan. Unlimited viewers are supported. For very large teams, consider using the comment-and-discuss workflow to coordinate who edits which section at any given time.
What if two people edit the same item simultaneously?
The system uses "last-write-wins" with a conflict detection layer. If conflicts are detected after offline sync, the platform prompts you to choose: keep your local version, accept the server version, or merge both. Presence indicators showing active cursors help teams avoid editing the same item simultaneously.
Technical Issues
The page isn't loading or is showing an error.
Try these steps in order:
  1. Refresh the browser (F5 or Ctrl+R / Cmd+R)
  2. Clear browser cache and cookies for strategy-ai-planner.deploypad.app
  3. Log out and log back in
  4. Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
  5. Contact support@deploypad.app if the issue persists — include your browser version and a screenshot
I didn't receive my invitation email.
Check your spam/junk folder first. If not found, verify the email address was typed correctly. Invitations expire after 7 days — ask the sender to resend if yours has expired. Add noreply@asilvainnovations.com to your safe senders list to prevent future filtering.
How do I reset my password?
On the login page, click "Forgot Password." Enter your registered email and click Submit. You'll receive a password reset link valid for 1 hour. Resetting your password logs you out of all active sessions on all devices for security. Contact support if you no longer have access to your registered email.
